Kawasaki motorcycles are manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Limited, an international corporation headquarted in Tokyo, Japan. Kawasaki produces a full range of motorcycles in the sportbike, touring, and off-road categories. The Kawasaki Ninja models form the basis of Kawasakis sportbike model range. Ninja models are equipped with four stroke dual overhead cam engines that are mated with either a five or six speed manual transmission. Engine displacements that can be ordered on the Ninja include 249cc, 498cc, 599cc, 649cc, 998cc, 1049cc, and 1352cc configurations. The 1352cc engine is upgraded with a six speed manual transmission and digital fuel injection.
